Our Network

Creating an interdisciplinary network on language plurality in Europe’s changing media sphere

The PLURILINGMEDIA network brings together researchers, practitioners and policymakers from different disciplines and specialisations, united in the aim of strengthening minority and regional languages and their media. Our network is about sharing expertise, best practice and making connections. Please feel free to get in touch with the members of our network.

Would you like to become a member?

Anyone who signs up for a working group automatically becomes a member of PLURILINGMEDIA and will be listed as such. Send us your application through the COST Action website, including a short motivation and description of your relevant expertise. We always welcome new members interested in our topic.

  • An interest in minority languages and/or media.
  • Your exact input is flexible and will likely fluctuate across the 4 years.
  • Event attendance and contribution to deliverables are not mandatory, rather the opportunity is offered and working group members will be prioritised.
  • Any person can join from any country worldwide and from any institution or company.
  • Reimbursement for event attendance requires affiliation to a legal entity in a COST member state. Again, not just universities but also companies, NGOs.
  • Access to a network of scholars and be kept informed about upcoming activities.
  • Priority for PLURILINGMEDIA funding: event attendance and grants.
  • Academic prestige of being involved with a renowned international funding programme.
