Bibliography

One of the aims of PLURILINGMEDIA is to compile a bibliography of publications on media in regional and minority languages, not least publications written in minority and regional languages. This is intended to facilitate comparative studies between different contexts.

Background: The three waves of literature

Broadly speaking, research on media in minority and regional languages in Europe has gone through three waves: an initial focus on broadcasting and language revitalisation in the 1990s, a shift to digital and social media in the 2010s, and a current wave driven by advances in AI, changing social media habits and the digital acceleration of COVID-19. As a result, academic output has increased significantly in recent years.

How does it work?

We use the open source software and platform Zotero to create and update the bibliography. You can add entries to your own Zotero account and download them.
